Declaration of Christmas Peace at the Itäkota Campfire Site in Sallatunturi

The Christmas Peace will be declared with singing and prayers at a shared outdoor forest church. Christmas Peace will also be extended to the animals of the forest, so pets are warmly welcome to join.

Skiing to the Liquor Store 2025

Legendary Skiing to the Liquor Store event returns 22.3.2025.
The only goal of this humorous cross-country skiing event is to get to the liquor store before the closing time. The race starts from Saija Village at 10 AM and the finish line is in Salla village center at Kansankentura (Kansantie 3). You can also start from the midpoint at 1 PM. The track is about 43 km long.
Organized by Saija village association and Sallan Karhut sports club.
